A yellow warning for ice also remains in force until midday
A yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping will come into force later this morning.
The alert will be in place from 11.30am to 3.30pm.
Forecasters say fresh to strong winds will see Shore Road in Rushen, Castletown promenade, the northern end of Douglas promenade and possibly Laxey and Fenella Beach in Peel impacted by waves.

Meanwhile, after a day of travel disruption due to widespread snow and ice it's hoped the Island will be kept moving 'as best as it possibly can' today (6 January).
Whilst conditions improved throughout the day yesterday, colder temperatures into the evening caused difficulties for motorists on locations such as Richmond Hill and at Kewaigue.
After ceasing operation yesterday, Government says it is likely that Ronaldsway Airport will be closed at the start of the day - but it's hoped it will reopen.
