Exposed coastal roads and promenades to feel the brunt around high tide
A yellow weather warning is in force today for coastal overtopping.
Forecasters at Ronaldsway Met Office say water and debris is likely to be brought onto exposed coastal roads and promenades around high tide.
The areas likely to be affected are the western end of Shore Road (Rushen), central and northern parts of Douglas promenade, Castletown promenade, Laxey and Ramsey promenades and briefly to a lesser extent at the southern end of Douglas promenade.
The alert comes into force from 9.30am and will lift at 2am on Sunday (21 December).
