MHK reports business community is facing issues
The chief minister has dismissed claims that the introduction of seven day isolation is 'smoke and mirrors'.
In Tynwald this week South Douglas MHK Paul Quine said the new rules were causing issues for some in the business community.
Changes to isolation requirements, brought in at the start of May, mean people can isolate for seven days instead of 14.
However between days seven and 10 they are also subject to restrictions – including not being able to use public transport, go to restaurants or attend other venues where people gather.
Howard Quayle says this is simply an extra precaution:
