Allan Bell says they would find it hard to adapt to Island life
The chief minister has defended the Island's stance on helping Syrian refugees.
In Tynwald this morning, Allan Bell was asked by Bishop Robert Paterson whether an agreement was in place with the UK for families to be resettled over here.
Mr Bell says with no cultural or linguistic link it may be difficult for the refugees to integrate and adapt to Island life.
He said an ill-thought out system could be disastrous:
