Closing date looms for World Tin Bath entries

Entries close midnight tonight (9 Aug)

If you fancy your chances at becoming the tin bath champion of the world, you have until midnight tonight (Sun 9 Aug) to throw your hat in the ring.

The 49th World Tin Bath Championships are set to be held in Castletown Harbour on Saturday 22 August.

Organised by Castletown Ale Drinkers Society, all the money raised will go towards the group's chosen charities.

The club is also appealing for Manx 'Birdmen and Birdwomen' to enter its Man Powered Flights competition.

Contents build a craft and attempt to fly from the catwork across the harbour using only their arms or legs in a bid to win £250 for their selected charity.
