All Saints Church opens for Remembrance
A unique landmark is re-opening 'for one day only' to remember local servicemen this afternoon.
All Saints Church in Lonan has been closed for three years, but is opening its doors again for a service of rememberance at 2pm.
A group of devotees is currently seeking to purchase and restore the building, which contains an original plaque in tribute to those who served in the Great War, designed by Archibald Knox.
Organiser Tony Pass says a similar service, held there last year, was an unexpected success:
Rapist who 'terrorised' his victim told his sentence was 'entirely justified'
Complaints process for health system changed
Discovery of oiled birds 'makes a mockery of our biosphere status'
Charges now in place for those sending parcels to the EU
