DEFA's 80% greenhouse gas reduction target
Ambitious but achievable is how government's new strategy to help tackle climate change is being described.
Approved by Tynwald this week, it features a series of five-year plans, with the aim of cutting the Island's greenhouse gas emissions by 80 per cent by 2050.
Areas such as more energy-efficient homes, lower-impact building methods and a reduction in the use of motorised vehicles.
