The clerk of the TT course is warning that today's weather may hamper this evening's qualifying session.

Gary Thompson says he's monitoring the forecast, but anticipates conditions won't be suitable.

In an update at 2.45pm this afternoon, race officials stated weather conditions had improved beyond initial forecasts with the roads around the TT course and outlook for this evening looking better than expected.

A final decision on tonight's programme will be made by 4.30pm.
