But Gary Thompson says 2024 preparations have gone 'really well'
The clerk of the TT course says organisers are 'always mindful' of the costs of putting on the Isle of Man TT Races, with this year's event getting underway in a week's time.
In 2024, Gary Thompson will enter his 12th year in the post of overseeing all aspects of racing on the Snaefell Mountain Course.
He says preparations for the racing fortnight have gone 'really well' and believes the course itself is 'looking the best he's seen it in years.'
Whilst he acknowledges costs in motorsport have been on the rise, Mr Thompson says it's not something affecting the TT exclusively nor will it compromise safety:
