Run your cold tap, advises Manx Utilities
Manx Utilities has advised that the drinking water issue in Douglas has now been rectified, and the 'boil notice' issued by Public Health has been lifted.
Chairman Dr Alex Allinson MHK issued an apology after water in lower Douglas was polluted yesterday (Thurs 7th).
Both homes and businesses across North Quay and Church Road were affected - the water supply is now safe provided the cold tap is run for around 20 minutes to clear the system.
A full inquiry into the cause of the contamination will follow.
