Alan 'Bud' Jackson came off during Thursday night's practice
A rider has died after an incident during Thursday night's practice session of the Festival of Motorcycling.
Alan 'Bud' Jackson from Kendal in Cumbria, passed away today following an accident at the Creg Ny Baa in the Senior Classic TT session.
The Manx Motor Cycle Club issued a statement announcing Alan 'Bud' Jackson's death this evening (24 August).
He was an experienced competitor on the TT Mountain Course, making his debut in the 1979 Manx Grand Prix.
With four race wins to his name, Alan also competed in the TT Races, with a highest finish of fifth place in 1990.
The Manx Motor Cycle Club has passed on their deepest sympathy to Alan's wife Elaine, son Paul, daughter Emma and other family and friends.
