Social Security division responds to FAQ’s
The Social Security Division has issued further clarity on child benefit and MERA payments, in response to ‘a number of calls and messages’.
It comes as letters advising of changes to child benefits, due to be delivered in April, were delayed due to the pandemic.
The division has apologised, and says these letters will be sent out within the next two weeks.
It says some have been confused by the rate at which the Manx Earning’s Replacement Allowance’s (MERA) are paid - and whilst the scheme allows for £200 per week, payments will be sent out in fortnightly instalments.
