Volunteers assisting ambulance service during pandemic
Civil Defence volunteers are playing a critical role in the Isle of Man's response to the coronavirus pandemic.
That's according to Department of Home Affairs Chief Executive Dan Davies.
The organisation is made up of around 50 volunteers who are trained in search and rescue, flood response and providing support in response to major incidents.
Mr Davies explained how they're supporting the emergency services:
Person suffers 'significant injuries' in 'serious assault' near Peel
Business case for horse trams to be put before Tynwald in July
Plans to turn 'underused space' in central Douglas into wellness retreat
Employment grievance 'upheld' against board of Peel Commissioners
