Unattended cooking left Douglas property smoke-logged
A Christmas dinner resulted in fire crews being called out on Christmas Day in Douglas.
Firefighters went to the property at 12.30pm yesterday following a report of a house fire.
The team found the house had become smoke logged after the owner left their Christmas dinner unattended while it was cooking.
There were no injuries or damage as a result of the incident, and crews remained at the scene for 30 minutes to ventilate the property.
The fire service is reminding the public that leaving cooking unattended can cause fires in the home.
