Rider crashed in MGP 2024
Manx motorcycle racer Chris Moffit has given fans an update on social media about his progress, 14 weeks after his crash during the Manx Grand Prix.
After spending five weeks at Nobles Hospital receiving what he describes as amazing care, he was transferred to the Sid Watkins Rehabilitation Centre at the Walton Centre in Liverpool, where he has spent the last seven weeks starting the long road to recovery with intensive physio, occupational therapy, psychology and speech and language therapy.
Chris says he has made huge progress in that time, and although still has a long way to go, his medical team is pleased with how he's doing and he will be looking at heading home in the not too distant future.
Chris finally had the neck brace removed last week which he said feels painful but amazing!
He has once again thanked everyone who's supported his recovery both in Liverpool and at Noble's before he was transferred to the UK.
Chris has highlighted the Manx Grand Prix club for all of their help as well, his family and friends for all they have done for him and everyone for the calls and messages.
Chris also says he got to meet his new puppy Rufus last weekend, who he's sure will keep him on his toes.
