Pupils help build working train line
Manx school children have seen their engineering efforts bear fruit, after helping to construct a fully operational railway track.
It's part of a visit by the children's author Chris Vine.
Pupils from Scooil Vallajeelt, Cronk-y-Berry, Kewaigue, St Mary's and Braddan have spent the week with the Peter's Railway author, learning about the operations, mechanics and history behind steam engines.
The tour culminated in an open day at Douglas Railway Station this morning, with the finished track accompanied by a special steam locomotive constructed by Chris himself.
