Director of Public Health's latest report highlights issue
With a quarter of five-year-olds classed as overweight, childhood obesity is one of the 'greatest public health challenges' facing the Island.
That's the view of the Director of Public Health, whose latest annual report has been published today, 17 August.
Entitled 'Childhood Healthy Weight - the road to a better future', the document highlights areas which could be addressed to promote healthier lifestyles.
Dr Henrietta Ewart says a consolidated approach is needed to tackle the issue:
Person suffers 'significant injuries' in 'serious assault' near Peel
Business case for horse trams to be put before Tynwald in July
Plans to turn 'underused space' in central Douglas into wellness retreat
Employment grievance 'upheld' against board of Peel Commissioners
