Allan Bell heartened by unanimous support in Tynwald on Agenda for Change
Chief Minister Allan Bell says he’s heartened by unanimous support in Tynwald for the government’s ambitious plans for the economy.
Yesterday, changes to the Agenda for Change document, which sets out how the government will attract new business and help those already here, were given the court’s seal of approval.
Over a three-hour debate almost every member of the court rose to speak, but none opposed the measures.
Afterwards, Mr Bell said the plan had been updated with new information – and reflects government’s progress in dealing with the loss of £200 million a year:
