
Chief Minister Allan Bell says a huge expansion of Pinewood Studios will be good news for the government, which owns around 10 per cent of the business.
This week, the UK’s Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government Eric Pickles granted planning permission for 100,000 square metres of extra studios, workshops and offices in Buckinghamshire.
Mr Bell says the proposals, which will roughly double the size of the site, will add extra value to the Island’s investment.
And he says he hopes it will finally silence the deal’s critics:
