
The chief minister has told Tynwald he was unware one of his most senior civil servants was being seconded to the Channel Islands, until it was a "done deal".
Economic Department Chief Executive Colin Kniveton is going to Sark in November to set up a civil service there.
Allan Bell said he knew about the post but not that Mr Kniveton had applied for and got the job.
