Cannan questioned on 'stability' of government
The chief minister has hit back at questions about the stability of his government, following changes to the council of ministers in the past six months.
Alfred Cannan was quizzed by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover in the last hour over the sacking of the health minister earlier this month.
He's criticised Mr Glover for 'moaning on the back benches' while his cabinet is 'getting on with tackling key and critical issues for the Island'.
On the topic of sackings and reshuffles, Mr Cannan said 'to create an omelette, along the way a few eggs do get cracked'.
'We're going to carry on, focussing on creating the right omelette for our Island.'
Mr Cannan was asked by Douglas MHK Claire Christian to retract his comments:
One member said he has been 'appalled by the chief minister's comments'.
