
Benefit increases made possible due to economy
The chief minister says the strength of the Island's economy allowed the Treasury to include above-inflation benefit increases in this year's budget.
Most benefits will rise by 2.4%, but there are greater increases for child benefit, disability living allowance and maternity payments, amongst others.
