Gas prices increasing by more than 40%
The chief minister says government is ‘acutely aware’ of the looming challenges facing families and businesses on the Isle of Man this winter.
Yesterday Manx Gas customers were told their gas bills would be increasing by more than 40 per cent in September.
It equates to around an extra £677 each year.
Alfred Cannan said: "I wish to reassure people that work is taking place to understand how support can be targeted to best protect the community through this period of significant economic turbulence."
