Kier Starmer's presence at BIC summit a 'refreshing change' says Cannan
The appearance of the UK Prime Minister at the latest British Irish Council meeting in Edinburgh is a 'refreshing change'.
That's the view of Chief Minister Alfred Cannan who's been speaking to Manx Radio from the summit.
The main talking point at the gathering has been the move towards renewable energy.
Mr Cannan says there's consensus within the council of the need to ensure everybody is brought along on the journey.
He was able to talk to Prime Minister Starmer on an area of concern for the Island:
Vote on Castle Rushen High School funding 'very unlikely' before election
Ramsey Commissioners to host public meeting about cottage hospital
DfE provided more than £250,000 to MT to assist with below ground fibre installations
Man given suspended sentence after importing 2kg of cannabis to Island
