Head politician adds to voices of concern over TT promoter deal
Chief Minister Allan Bell has voiced measured criticism about the way the Vision Nine T.T. promoter deal was presented.
He says he was assured by the Minister for Economic Development Laurence Skelly that the proposed appointment had been examined in detail.
After the move was approved by Tynwald in April, other government departments raised issues and concerns.
The deal has not been signed and government, not Vision Nine, will promote the event in 2017 while discussions continue.
But Allan Bell is not prepared to say whether Mr. Skelly misled the Council of Ministers or Tynwald:
