Allan Bell: "People know I'm gay"
The Isle of Man has its first openly gay leader in history today.
In an interview with UK newspaper The Guardian, Chief Minister Allan Bell MHK has spoken publicly for the first time about his sexuality.
In an article about the government’s recently-announced consultation on gay marriage, he spoke frankly about his long-term relationship with another man.
He told the newspaper: “People know that I’m gay. I’ve never made a secret of it, but no one has ever asked me.”
