Head of Island's police calls for Constabulary and Government to work together
The Chief Constable of the Island's police wants to see more focus on helping young people at risk of offending on the Isle of Man.
Gary Roberts has been giving evidence to Tynwald's Constitutional and Legal Affairs and Justice Committee this afternoon.
Discussing his annual report, the Chief Constable confirmed he'd like to see his officers working with Government to identify those in need of support, rather than waiting until a person starts offending.
He says negative childhood experiences can have a lasting impact:
Warmer than average May for Island
Increased DfE support 'to tackle rising costs and global pressures'
Police appeal after two motorcycles involved in collision
Childcare Credit payments to increase
