Three week trip after a wake of disasters
Twelve young people, and their teachers, from a small Caribbean nation are on the Island for a three-week programme of events and lectures.
It's been arranged by the Isle of Man St Vincent and the Grenadines Education Programme - a new charity set up to provide scholarships and travel grants to students in the wake of a series of disasters which ravaged the country.
They include Covid, Dengue Fever, a hurricane and a devastating volcano in April last year – all of which have had an impact on education.
Tim Cullen MBE, from Derbyhaven, is a trustee in the charity which was set up by a small group of volunteers in both Island nations:
