More than 22,000 different volunteers have assisted Beach Buddies over two decades
This week marks 20 years since Beach Buddies Isle of Man started cleaning plastic and other waste from the Island's shorelines.
Founder Bill Dale says it started as he and his former partner were walking along Ballaugh Beach, and their dogs kept taking bits of plastic over to them.
It was only when they investigated further that they realised how much waste was on the seashore.
Almost 22,000 different volunteers and hundreds of tons later, the rest, as they say, is history....
You can listen to the full interview with Bill reflecting back and looking ahead to 2026 tonight from 5.30pm as an Island Life special.
