Hospice chief exec says relaxation needed
Changes to the Island's work permit system are a result of an increasing need for qualified healthcare staff, according to Hospice Chief Executive Margaret Simpson.
From October 1, nurses, midwives and social workers who are not Isle of Man workers will no longer need to acquire a permit.
Mrs Simpson says in recent years recruiting qualified workers has become more difficult.
She says it's due to a number of reasons:
