Alex Allinson MHK says our bills remain completely separate
The MHK leading efforts to allow assisted dying on the Isle of Man says proposed changes to the UK's bill won't affect us here.
Kim Leadbeater MP has dropped proposals for the High Court to assess every case - instead proposing that's done by a panel of experts including judges, social workers and psychiatrists.
Opponents fear it'll push the process behind closed doors.
Here on the Island, the bill has had a number of amendments by the Legislative Council which now need to considered by the House of Keys.
If they're all agreed, it will then be signed and submitted for Royal Assent.
But Ramsey MHK Alex Allinson says our bill remains completely separate:
Lieutenant Governor taking part in charity bungee jump
DoI 'willing to assist' in talks over Solway Harvester memorial maintenance
Third party damage leaves 'large area' of Peel without water supply
