Tony Brown says respondents had 'firm views' about the area

The Chair of Castletown Commissioners says the town needs to be 'maximising' the space it has to encourage people to visit.

It comes after the local authority published its proposals for the future pedestrianisation of Market Square after a six-week public consultation over the summer.

The local authority is planning on introducing an Easter holidays closure, increasing the time on disc parking as well as looking into barriers for the square.

Tony Brown says 35 is a 'good number' of respondents and some of them had 'firm views' on what they wanted to see in the square.
