The Island’s coastguard officers formed a guard of honour to remember one of the service’s stalwarts this week.
David Keggin BEM, the former station officer of Douglas Coastguard, died at the end of last month aged 65.
He’d been a member of the coastguard for 40 years, took over the role of station officer from his father Robert Keggin, and was awarded the British Empire Medal in 1990 for his work with the agency.
Members of the coastguard turned out for a full ceremonial funeral on Monday at St Georges Church.
