The Celtic League has praised the chief minister's comments about Manx links to the Scottish National Party.
It comes after the SNP gained 56 seats in Westminster at the UK general election last week.
The league's director of information, Bernard Moffatt, is urging Allan Bell and the Manx parliament to continue developing a strong relationship with the SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon.
He noted the party should be natural allies of the Isle of Man and wants to see Manx politicians acting proactively to improve ties between here and Scotland.
