More concerns have been raised about the dumping of toxic silt at a site close to Poortown Quarry outside Peel.
The silt, which is being dredged from Peel harbour, is heavily contaminated with heavy metals, leading the Department of Infrastructure to abandon its original plans to dispose of it at sea.
Fears had been raised this may lead to the contamination of King scallop and queenie stocks.
It's now proposed to dispose of it at Poortown, but whilst the Department claims adequate precautions have been taken Bernard Moffatt from the Celtic League says he's not convinced:
