Annual report reflects 'particularly challenging' year for constabulary

The Isle of Man Constabulary will continue to 'adapt and respond' to the challenges ahead in order to maintain public confidence and 'deliver an effective policing service for the Island'.

That's the message from the chief constable whose annual report has been received by Tynwald.

It shows there's been a further reduction in recorded crime on the Isle of Man of 4.5 percent over the past 12 months.

But Justice and Home Affairs Minister Jane Poole-Wilson described the year as 'particularly challenging' due to the 'changing nature' of the Island's criminality; she's been speaking to Manx Radio alongside Chief Constable Russ Foster:
