A firework display from Speakers Garden will mark the occasion
Castletown Confetti Carnival is celebrating its 70th year this afternoon (1 August) with a fireworks display, float parade and live music.
Residents in the area with pets are advised to make any 'necessary preparations ahead of time'.
The event starts at 1pm in the Market Square and will also feature a 'bonniest baby' competition as well as the selection of the Holiday Princess.
