Care facility will meet modern standards

Initial application refused

The Health Minister says his team is fully committed to providing modern care standards, fit for the 21^st century.

Revised plans to develop a 60-bed residential care facility on the former site of Glenside in Douglas have been submitted.

The initial application was refused on grounds of visibility and vehicle access.

David Ashford hopes that is just a setback in attempts to replace the ageing Reayrt ny Baie facility.
