
Dog owners are to get a special area on Douglas beach to walk their pets after Douglas Council decided to change its bye-laws.
As long as dog mess is tidied and people keep their dogs under control, they’ll be able to exercise them from the Queen’s Hotel northwards.
Councillor Ritchie McNicholl says the moves come after dog-lovers approached the corporation.
He says it’s an area of the capital’s shoreline that’s currently under-used:
