
Michael MHK Alf Cannan has spoken out to correct comments by Minister of Policy and Reform Chris Robertshaw, in which he accused Mr Cannan of "stirring up discontent" among the public.
Whilst claiming he didn't want to get into a slanging match with the minister, Mr Cannan said he felt he had to correct some of Mr Robertshaw's statements.
Mr Cannan had been highly critical of an advert placed in a UK broadsheet newspaper for a new director of government policy, a post carrying a salary of up to more than £90,000.
But he says some of Mr Robertshaw's statements in an interview with Manx Radio were just "misleading":
