23 arrested during December
The prevalence of cannabis on the Island has contributed to the rise in the number of drivers being caught under the influence.
That's from Sergeant Jamie Tomlinson of the Roads Policing Unit, following a spike in numbers during December.
Twenty-three arrests were made in the month, more than 50% higher than the year before.
Sergeant Tomlinson says the problem is entrenched in our society:
Tanker carrying 4.5 million litres of fuel waiting to dock
Queues at pumps as diesel prices increase across Island
We aren't the fun police!
