Nurse to contest East Douglas seat
A Douglas nurse says she’s hoping to protect frontline services on the Island – if she wins a by-election in Douglas.
31 year old Clare Bettison works as an RGN at Noble’s Hospital and will contest the House of Keys seat in East Douglas left vacant after Brenda Cannell announced she’d step down as an MHK.
Mrs Bettison is originally from the UK, and describes herself as a mix of conservative and socialist.
