Winds reaching up to 50mph are expected today

This morning's Manannan sailings have been cancelled, and a number of other crossings have been rescheduled as the effects of Storm Floris hit the Irish Sea.

The 7.15am departure to Liverpool and return service at 11.15am won't be going ahead.

This morning's 8.30am Manxman crossing had been brought forward to 7.15am, but will now depart at its original time, albeit with a longer than usual crossing time.

The 3pm Manannan service has been delayed until 4pm and will have a three-hour 15-minute crossing time, with the 7.15pm return journey now going at 8.30pm.

This evening's Manxman crossing also remains subject to disruption or cancellation, with a final decision due by 5.30pm.

A yellow weather warning remains in force until 6am tomorrow, with gale force eight winds and gusts reaching up to 50mph expected.
