Chris Martin hopes the 'Safer Surfaces-Safer Spaces' will bring confidence to residents
A Ramsey Commissioner is starting a campaign to try and improve the pavements, paths and highways in the town.
Chris Martin says the 'Safer Surfaces - Safer Spaces' project will aim to encourage residents to report issues, including overgrown hedges and potholes, to make the town more accessible.
Mr Martin took on the scheme after canvassing residents for the by-election and was told that people have fallen off mobility scooters and those with prosthetics can struggle on uneven surfaces.
