Member asks HoK for legislation modernisation
Campaigners 'fully support' a Ramsey MHK's private members' bill to modernise Manx abortion law.
The Campaign for Abortion Law Modernisation (CALM) group is backing Dr Alex Allinson as he seeks permission from the House of Keys for a legislative update.
Although legal, strict rules surround access to abortion here, and currently, more than 100 women seek termination in the UK each year at their own expense.
It's expected he'll present his case in the house later this month (24 Jan).
