Petition launched to 'make Island safer'
A campaign's been launched hoping to bring Sarah's Law to the Isle of Man.
The law, which has been in place in England and Wales for over a decade, allows parents, carers and guardians to ask the police to tell them if someone has a criminal record for child sexual offences.
Last month government 'switched on' new sex offences legislation which brought the Island more in line with the UK, however Sarah's Law wasn't a part of those changes.
Kimberley Parker has now started a petition and a group on Facebook hoping to put pressure on the government to implement the law.
She's been speaking to Amy Griffiths:
Manx Radio has approached the Department of Home Affairs for a comment.
You can find the petition here and the Facebook group here.
