Resolution passed at 2018 AGM
The Manx Labour Party is calling for a 'direct democracy' form of governance on the Island.
It's pushing for a system where one seventh of the Manx population can call for a vote on any issue they consider to be of national importance, through the use of digital voting or facilities provided.
The organisation, which is celebrating its centenary year, passed the resolution at its Annual General Meeting this weekend, held at the South Douglas Old Friends Association Club.
David Cretney was re-elected as Chairman, with Carol Quine as Vice Chair, Sarah Maltby elected to be Treasurer and Secretary, and Ged Power in charge of media.
Richard Halsall was appointed Policy Coordinator, Joney Faragher will be Green Issues Coordinator and Leo Cussons is the Election Strategy Coordinator for the year.
