Calls for a review of inclusive education on the Island

Former education minister believes there should be a fresh look at how children with additional needs are supported

Is there enough support for children with additional needs in the Island's schools?

One MHK says there should be a new look at how those students are looked after.

Former education minister Julie Edge is calling for a review of inclusive education in this month's Tynwald, which starts today (Tuesday 21 January).

She's been talking to John Moss:

One campaign group believes support for children with additional needs could be improved.

The Dyslexia Advocacy Group has been giving evidence to a Tynwald Select Committee after bringing forward a Petition for Redress calling for better identification and provision for those with the condition.

Peter Washington, Renée Caley and Julia Bell raised concerns about the training available to teachers:

This month's Tynwald sitting will be broadcast on AM 1368 or online at manxradio.com from 10am today.
