Estate agents say figures skewed by high value transactions
Onchan MHK Rob Callister is challenging statistics which paint a negative image of the Isle of Man in the House of Keys today.
He is asking Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas about comparison website Zoopla which ranked the Isle of Man top of a list of places in the British Isles where sellers drop the asking price to make a sale.
The study showed an 8.36% difference between asking and selling prices.
Local estate agents believe the figure is skewed by high value property transactions.
Mr Callister is concerned about the negative impact of such stories.
