Volunteers tackle the east after storms
FIM Capital Beach Buddies says it's going to be a busy weekend for the organisation's volunteers, with a 'massive clean-up operation needed' after the storms earlier this week.
The buddies will be concentrating on the east coast of the island with two events today (2 Dec) - one at Port Grenaugh and the other on Douglas Promenade, both starting at 10.30am.
The meeting point in Douglas is the slipway at the bottom of Broadway.
Those coming to help out are advised to bring wellies, as large amounts of seaweed has been blown up onto the beaches.
As always, Beach Buddies provides all equipment and removes all items afterwards, recycling as much as possible, with the rest going to make electricity.
